Ooh, I can just picture Krabo as a safe cracker and master criminal. In a nice way of course, Krabo.

Nice cat cartoon too. :D

A Scarlet Pimpernel type I can imagine.

Pincers are not pinchers.

Krabo and his cat would make a great team for righting wrongs. Piu would go stealthily ahead of them both, scouting for any signs of trouble, and using his small size to advantage.

Please, Sylkat, meet Mr. Sulo Karjalainen and his bear. He is the only known man in the world who sleeps with a mother bear in her den. There is a documentary but unfortunately it is all Finnish.

Mooms, your next homework project is to translate it.

I thought about it. However, the job involved is complicated because the EU legislation prohibits translation in the wrong direction, i.e. I am not allowed to translate from Finnish into English. Can't help it, sorry.

EU legislation. Seriously? You're not allowed to tell us what something in Finnish means, on a not-for-profit basis?

Are you allowed to talk to us? 8O Surely you are translating your thoughts from Finnish to English, is that illegal too?

I really hate bureaucracy and rules.

He could have been joking but it doesn't look it.

Bureaucracy can be very silly. Some politicians and bureaucrats seem to have too little to do, so they come up with mind-numbingly silly and invasive ideas.

It sounds right. I know there is some issue with the translation side of Duolingo in regards to the EU. I *almost* understand it in a business capacity (it is well known that one should always translate *into* one's native language, as that way the translation is more natural sounding). But it seems madness to try to apply that to people chatting to each other on the internet. Not that I blame Krabo of course, I certainly wouldn't want him to get into any kind of legal trouble.

I thought it was a joke, but with bureaucracy you can never know.

why does it have to be a job job?

maybe there's some copyrighting issue?

should it be an unalienable right to have access to the meanings of other languages?
