Interestingly, my cat likes water. He loves watching the toilet flush, wanted to get in the shower with me this morning, and is currently so enthralled with a trickle of water running from the sink that he doesn't care how wet he's getting. My grandma had cats who would drink from gently running sinks, but Arthur isn't drinking, he's clearly just playing. I'd heard that some cats actually like water and will even take showers with their owners (I suspect Arthur wouldn't have been very impressed if he'd gotten the door to the shower stall open, though - I don't think he was prepared for that much water), but I hadn't actually encountered a cat with this fascination until we got Arthur.

What breed is Arthur? I had a Siamese, Samantha, who loved water. My second Siamese, Prince, was somewhat interested, although he was nowhere near as fanatic as Samantha about it. Siamese cats are said to love water and, judging by Samantha, I believe it.
