I've worn a facade for nearly 30 years to hide the real me from my Anglo-Canadian family. My dad's heritage is British with a bit of German. My mum's heritage is French and English. Living in British Columbia my whole life under a British family name., I felt I had to do things the British way to wow my parents.

My meeting tomorrow at a local college. It's regarding a course I have expressed an interest in - AAT level 2 in accounting - and there will a tour and presentation on what they offer to students. The course is available for a meagre £300 online, but in a classroom environment I expect it could cost up to ten times that amount. Unfortunately I cannot trust myself to study online, as I know that my assignments would be left until the last minute, or worse still, unfinished. Moreover, I feel I will need additional support as my learning difficulties are quite severe. Proverbially, my brain is truly brilliant at chewing up information and spitting it out. I never seem to absorb anything. Even a supposedly simple course such as this may prove to be beyond my low level of intellect.

Are people who have high creativity skills in things like art and music more likely to not be good in school or seem dumb when they really aren't? My father dropped out of school in Grade 7 a long time ago, but he's really good at building things out of wood. For example he built a gazebo on the patio of my parent's home and he didn't need a guide or instructions to do it, he just pictured how it would look in his head. Kind of the way I picture my cartoons and crafts in my head before I make then and don't use patterns or instructions most of the time.

Albert Einstein once said that everyone is a genius but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it'll spend its entire life thinking that it's stupid. Well that seems to be true for my dad and me if you only focus on what we can't do instead of our talents.

My life is an unbelievable bizarreness.
Everything has happened.
If life is a dream and I dreamed this, I hope I wake soon.

people who go to heaven generally report it to be as though waking from a very hazy dream. for more information, one can read the books "multidimensional man" and "vistas of infinity- how to enjoy life when you're dead." [both by jurgen ziewe]

I've never had a hazy dream, most of mine are pretty clear.

Their words are corrosive; like acid breaking down fleshy barriers.
They are waiting for me to fail. I wonder if others are too.
I believed in myself up to and until now.
Now my faith waivers.
