My dog is very interested in tortoises when they move. We took him to the pet store today, and he was whining at a little tortoise and tried to paw at the glass before we moved him away. I was not expecting that.

My 2018 calendar has the dates of holidays all over the world in it in it but not the dates for daylight savings time, the start of the seasons or even the phases of the moon. That's kind of lame.

I guess they figured people use their computer now to check for all those things. Whoever "they" are.

"Ferrari" as a last name is the Italian counterpart to "Smith" in America.

That my mom caught the same cold on the same day I caught mine. We must have both picked it up at the same place at the same time. How strange. :)

She's doing a lot better, but I'm still congested and she could hear it over the phone. :(

I learned that deer parks built hundreds of years ago had low sections of wall which deer could jump over, because the ground was lower on the other side they were unable to jump back out again.

The Beatles weren't exactly choirboys in their early days.....

They tried to exude a tough Liverpudlian air---but only Ringo actually came from the "inner city" of Liverpool. He's the one that exuded the least "toughness," ironically.

the beatles never dreamt of being that scatological. anyways, "the high numbers" caused so many mystified listeners to say "the WHO??! !" that the band changed its name.

The Who was originally The Detours. Then, they became The Who.

Then, they became the High Numbers. Some manager wanted them to appeal to the Mods. A "high number" in Mod Language is someone really important.

They were the High Numbers for maybe a few months---then decided to ditch that manager, and started calling themselves The Who again.

I love Ringo, to this day. Do you remember Mad Magazine parodying him as the Breck Girl?

^^ Nah, I'm just old, and fondly remember the things of my youth, which the Interwebs thoughtfully stored away where I can find them. Usually.

:-)
