Ahhh - true! Sorry! I remember you said that!

Hope things are going well for you KitLily.

I know the countdown is on for you to move next summer!

Thank you. I'm trying not to think about it or I get frustrated and cross. I want the time to fly but also I want it to crawl so I don't miss out on my daughter's day to day life :(

I don't get why grown adults make the conscious decision to force themselves into topics and conversations that they know nothing about and have shown they can't behave maturely in, then throw a tantrum when they get the same negative reactions from people that they always get, and then other people just coddle them and act like they shouldn't be expected to have self control + encourage them to not even attempt to develop self control. That's not "wholesome", it's enabling and is toxic.

Edit: This s**t also discourages people who are negatively affected by these "adults" lack of self control to not stand up for themselves and hold their ground, and encourages these "adults" to continue to trample over other people without giving a genuine f**k about it.

It's because the advertisers want to make sure you hear them if your not really paying attention. I wish the FCC required them to have the same volume as the shows.

They compress the s**t out of them so that they can claim the peaks aren't any louder than the show.

Reminds me why I haven't had a TV since 2000. (I don't miss it, if there is something I really want to see I can stream it or wait for it to make it to disc.)

FYI

Quote:
Many televisions and home theater systems have features to control loudness, such as automatic gain control, audio compression, or audio limiters, that can be turned on to provide a more consistent volume level across programs and commercials.

I don't get why my girlfriend sometimes tells me to decide things only to immediately reject everything I suggest :tired:

Oh I know the answer to that! It's because she already knows what she wants to do, she just wants you to confirm it. But obviously you aren't a mind reader and don't know what she wants to do.

Ooh, something I know the answer to!

I don't get those CAPTCHA things when the pictures in the squares are so freaking tiny I can't see them even with my glasses on, and they don't enlarge on the screen. Today was a bunch of tshirts with animals on them and I had to pick the ones with dogs? The t-shirts were tiny with background all around them and all I could see were white animal blob shapes on them. It looked like some of them were cats, some dogs with pointy ears (like cats), and some were ferrets or rats or something also with little floppy ears. Whatever they were I kept getting them wrong and then I had to wait an hour to try again because I exceeded my tries.

Other times they'll ask for the ones with a bus in them, or a big vehicle. Some squares have just a tiny corner of the bus so are you supposed to choose those ones too or just the obvious ones?

I totally suck at CATCHA. So much for helping people who need accommodations.
It must be a conspiracy against me.

There is usually an audio option, you should use that.

Huh -- Who knew ?? 8O

I wasn't on my phone but now I'm curious so I'm going to try again on my laptop and see if I get the audio option.
No idea how audio would work but I'll report back.
