Mate, it hasn't been too bad. We had a few days there where I wanted to crawl into the refrigerator but on the whole, not too bad.

How's Queens? Cold, I suspect.

Thank you :)
Life sorta got in the way for a while there, but now I'm retired and FREE :))))

You're probably slightly less young than I imagined. Must be because of the avatar...

But age is totally unimportant to me. I've never seen it as significant.

Is that a lip balm? I often need it in our extreme South African climate. The most popular here is called Labello.

I believe IAmAspie was in a position where he can retire at a relatively early age.

I was/am Kraftie. And got a very nice sizeable lump sum payment as well as a tidy fortnightly pension.

I'm looking into buying a horse. I've already bought a Sky-Watcher 12" Dobsonian telescope with a go-to synscan motor driven base. A Canon EOS 80D camera with a multitude of lenses and I'm looking at buying a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (black with the golden Eagle on the hood - Like the one out of Smokie and the bandit - Remember Burt Reynold's car?).

I've got a 75" TV at the end of my bed. It's like being in the cinema.

I've got an $8,000 sound system.

But the best of all - I have no money worries/troubles for as long as I live!

I'm also going to Alberta, Canada to meet an online friend. First stop LAX. Maybe, I could pop down and see you.

Mate. I'm laughing! :D

Retirement was the BEST THING that ever happened for me!! !

Retired early (not at 65 - like everyone else is supposed to - because of that computer program I wrote - I think I talked to you about that). It made me a fortune!

Interestingly, people here are talking about lip balms. I did a speech about communication and leadership using lip products as a starting point. The speech was based on a book by a Toastmaster and motivational speaker, Sharla Fritz.

Well done on your success story! It's inspirational and shows what we Aspies can achieve if we do set our minds to something. The potential is there!

If only a few more of our users here would get a more positive outlook. I'm not saying everyone can achieve the stratospheric heights you have, but can be the best that they can be.

Us Aspies! When we get a Special Interest and get fixated on it, we can just GO! And program and program and program and we perfect it - and if we turn our Special Interest into a money making venture, there's NOTHING holding us back! We ARE smart! IQ of 137. Mensa member!

It's not about "smartness". It's about interest, drive!

So many things in life, I've thought, "This is too hard!" but then, I always say to myself, "How hard can it be? I mean, It's not rocket surgery!" and then I have a little chuckle to myself and do it. I mean, if others can do it, then surely, I can too. I mean, it's not undo-able!

And after I've done it, I look back and think, "It wasn't that hard!" It just looks scary and undo-able before you start but even brain surgery looks and sounds too scary - until you tackle it.
