I washed one of my favourite jackets for like the third time ever, today, and that made the colour start to come off of its buttons. This severely frustrates me.... I feel I need to remove the buttons and put them in thinner, to get the paint completely off of them, and then repaint them with matte spray paint. Just replacing the buttons is not an option, as they are unique. I probably won't have the energy to do that, though, which will make me be frustrated for months and just completely stop using it, I guess.

The worst is that if I had always washed it turned inside out, this wouldn't have happened. Still, though... it's poor paint work, if it starts getting off after such a short while. I guess they do that intentionally, so people will just buy new stuff... they barely ever makes things to last, nowadays.

Damn the man. Paint the buttons and wear it until it literally falls off of you. That is what favorite jackets are for, who cares if it doesn't look new...
What are the buttons like?

My grandpa has a raincoat, that maybe 20 years ago was a normal raincoat, now it's maybe 5% coat, 95% duct tape. It's his favorite coat, lol.

I wish I could think that way. Problem is that the jacket is black, and the buttons are supposed to stay black, but if the paint keeps coming off (which it will - it was flaking), they'll be steel coloured, which would contrast to the black and look terrible. I can't use a simple pen, either, to paint them, as that'll come off and get stuck on my fingers... unless there are special pens, suitable for metal, that don't do that, maybe?

Ironically, I don't even want it to look new. I want it to look used. But the colour of the buttons must stay black, or I might as well stop using it. =_=

I can't tell what the buttons look like... my paranoia tells that that could reveal my identity, to someone random who maybe is watching my posts. They are round, though, in matte black, and carry the brand logotype.

Can't you just get some black buttons that are made of black plastic (or whatever buttons are made out of)?
