i had an owl fly into my house (before the government resumed it) a couple of years ago. can you recognize what type of owl it is from the clip i am about to post?

clip description: i firstly wanted to get the owl safely out of my house without being scratched, and without it being injured, and secondly i wanted the owl to leave the area because i had a little family of 8 bush mice that i fed, and who were almost my pets. the last part of the clip was me filming a place on the shed where a mouse was popping his head out to see if it was safe to come down (via the wooden plank i placed for them) to eat the bread. he took a while to show his head. those little mice would be all on the menu for the owl, and i wished the owl well, but i did not want him/her to stay in the area.

anyway i hope a video does not violate the thread rules, and i will find some images soon to post that are in the spirit of the thread.

ok. here are some good pictures i have on my hard drive. i do not like to go surfing for good pictures on the net because i do not feel as if it is being honest in a way.

these pictures i have already in my collection (most of which i saved when i came upon them accidentally in my random travels) .

i think to type into google "great pictures" and then to repost them purely to participate is a bit disingenuous. maybe i am wrong.

anyway i will post now 7 pictures that i consider to be very nice/intriguing.

little cute water:

big monstrous water: (an artists impression of a full sized tsunami (the recent tsunami's have been rather paltry even though they were devastating) but a tsunami of this size happens about every 500 years (and it is not a mega tsunami which happens about every 5000 years)))

I'm not very familiar with birds of Australia. I'm actually American. I just came across this picture of some Tawny Frogmouths on the Internet and thought it was cool. I found a list of owls native to Australia on the Internet, but there are a lot of them. Have you tried looking in a field guide of birds in your region?
