for anyone who does not know and cares, my recent spate of quotes has been an attempt at creating nonsense proverbs.
it is difficult to create a sentence that sounds like a proverb that is utter nonsense, because when i read the sentence back to myself, i can see how some may find meaning in it (albeit unintended).

so, to continue the spate:

"the custard tart left unattended will soon become festooned with maggots" ; b9: 05/05/10

I'm not going to stop talking to him, and for the record, I never would have got all jealous over him having friends who love and care for him. I actually care for his well-being; and if I think he's been hurt, I cry. I'd be actually happy for him if I wasn't so scared that he was going to get hurt.

Death list? "You'd damn well better be" making another scar?
This is what worries me. Apart from that, I wish him all the happiness he can get, and it is against my principles to try to break up relationships.

And to that, I must add "For a life without substance, all roads lead to a mattress factory." :)

Not as good as yours, but I gave it a try. 8)

yours is very good i think. yours make too much sense for the game i am playing.

"substance is the stuffing in the mattress of the idle"

but the proverbs must be on the edge of nonsense. sense must be hard to glean from them.

here is an almost but not quite nonsensical example:
"the vanquished are the seeds that in the fields of abandoned victory grow"

I don't wish to take it to PM. I don't wish to fight; I regret the drama that's already gone on, as it will make him feel bad.

My mother explains my failure at life by telling people I live in "genteel poverty".
My greatest accomplishment? I'm not dead.
