You consider yourself unpopular, Kjas? I really didn't know that, since I see you post quite a bit in L&D :?

I don't post much (as in more than one answer per thread) in L&D, maybe 3 threads to date? I usually am busy reading the PPR forum although I don't post in there much. I usually post in AAI.

I was surprised to see some of the people in here too, some of them are some of the kindest members on the site *hugs to everyone*

I guess I'm here because some parts of the site seem rather "cliquey"? (is that the right word?) And being somewhat new it's kinda hard to miss that aspect of the forums.

Sylkat, I have an uncontrollable urge to buy you and AA presents. (shhhh! big secret!)

I've always been unpopular, online and off.

To be honest, I like it that way. I don't have to socialize much. But, it can get very lonely, too.

Some time, if it isn't off-topic, could we about 'high- functioning'.
What does 'high-functioning refer to? Real life? Articulateness? Terminology? Quick comebacks? friendliness?
Sometimes I talk a lot on WP because it is difficult to carry on a conversation with other people in real life.
Some others here have said similar things about themselves. So, is 'high-functioning' a WP thing, or a IRL thing?

Sylkat, can I join this discussion please?
I assume that high-functioning refers to things like articulateness, quick comebacks etc.
I think it also includes things like the ability to recognise and use irony and sarcasm etc and being able to communicate with a range of people eg from different age groups etc.

I get the impression that some people think that people who are HFA don't really need to use forums like WP, as they have a more developed level of skills and are able to communicate confidently. But there is a big difference between ability to interact on an internet forum, and ability to cope in the real world, in my opinion.

I wonder what would happen if someone made a "popular WP members club" thread. :chin:

I'd make it an elitist club where only my favorites were in!

Why don't you just start a thread and make it your virtual "home" so to speak and that way you can invite in whoever you like?

It will save you from living on a certain other thread....

Your favourites, now that IS a scary thought.
