My televisions working again.

YES!

I made my dad laugh today - something he hasn't been doing much of since he's been in almost constant pain due to the spinal stenosis in his leg(s) and none of the doctors he's seeing are willing to just hurry up and give him the godd@mn shot he needs to be able to walk. Anyway, what happened was that he and I went to have coffee together this morning, and I ordered a small bottle of white milk with my muffin, as I usually do. The thing is, they were out of white milk, so I said, "That's all right, I think I would like chocolate instead, then." When the cashier brought my chocolate milk, I said to my dad, "You know, there's been some research done that says chocolate milk is actually GOOD for you." "My dad said, "Yes, I know, but what about it makes it good for you? The chocolate? The milk? Have they said?" And I replied, "I don't really remember what they said about it, but if some health expert says that chocolate milk is actually GOOD for you, then I'm not about to look THAT gift horse in the mouth."

This is my 7000th post.

I can do what I want the rest of the day.

Warm weather

First sunny day in a week. :sun:

Went out to buy a curtain rail but left the measurements at home and couldn't remember them. After much deliberation I bought one that I hoped was the right length - it was very hard to tell. Came home and it fitted perfectly. Saved me another trip and having to buy another rail. That made me happy today

My dad got cleared to have his epidural shot done before he and my stepmother leave the country for a week! Also, they left this morning to go to another academic conference for a few days, so I have the house to myself again. I'm a happy coupe.

The Mad-City Challenge tomorrow

Weather is great and I slept wonderfully.

I can relax all day today.

I was having jokes with an old man who I phoned up.

I told him George Washington was stood outside his house with a green umbrella.

He told me that he was looking but he couldn't see him.

The conversation went on for a good 20 minutes, i even missed my break because of it.

I received the latest issue of Tin House in the mail.

Until I have them safe at home I don't want to say anything, I don't want to jinx it buy by eck it's made me happy.
