Not saying either type of mind is not useful for either situation

But NTs have too much of it going on and need to step back and see half the stuff they're tangled in n fighting over n being nasty over is unnecessary n easy to break from. They accept it too much as well as other patterns like arrogance n lying. Asd ppl usu are willing to look at things a different way if it's explained

Just like how ASD might need help with communication or exec functioning

My mind isn't suited for peace.

I believe ASD minds are more-so suited for what they've been trained to deal with. If life has fed you nothing but hostility and abuse, you'll likely be well-equipped to respond in kind.

i don't really know how to be effectively hostile and abusive. if i were better at such, my life would have taken a different turn long ago. that is part of "thinking on one's feet" that a lotta aspies tend to fall down on.

To be fair, some sorts of being hostile don't requite a lot of thinking on one's feet. Dynamic reactions inherently require it, but static responses don't really. An example (involving intimidation, since it's relevant) might be:

Dynamic:

Person A confronts Person B in an openly and obviously hostile manner. Person B immediately concedes, admits fault and expresses a willingness to no longer act in the manner that set off Person A; Person A immediately realizes that Person B is either intimidated or genuinely conciliatory and reduces the degree of hostility expressed.

Static:

Person A confronts Person B in an openly and obviously hostile manner. Person B immediately concedes, admits fault and expresses a willingness to no longer act in the manner that set off Person A; Person A continues to express extreme hostility or escalates to assault as previously planned.

Obviously, the first interaction is the preferable one and the one more aligned with society's expectations.

I've always had a tendency to react like that, but there's tricks you can use to disrupt both that response as well as your adversary's dominance of the interaction. In some situations one that I find works for me is to say something and raise your voice for at least one word (but not the whole phrase, no matter what). Getting loud and then calm sounding again tends to give you a chance to gain the initiative.

Basically, in social interactions that involve dominance as part of the dynamic, gaining control of it makes it far less stressful and prevent staying DIHL.

my fear is that my amygdala will prevent my frontal lobes from taking charge, and that one of us would be in jail before long.
