I made the mistake of venturing into L&D. I think I'm becoming very disliked over there simply because I don't fit people's stereotypes and broad generalizations.

Did you just have a birthday? Happy birthday!

I don't know of anyone who dislikes you. Hang out here, where you know lots of people care about you.

My birthday was actually in February, but thanks :)

I won't name names because I don't want to start anything, but there is at least one person over there who I think is at least irritated with me because I pointed out that their statement was only a generalization, proved by the fact that I don't fit it. Yeah, what I need to do is check which forum a thread is in before even opening it and stay away if it's in L&D, I usually just hit the "view recent posts" button so I sometimes miss what forum a thread is in.

That's really a problem for those people, not your problem. :P

Someone can be momentarily annoyed then put it in perspective or even accept your input . it is part of discussing

Wow, the iPad my mom got me for my birthday is huge! I'm used to doing stuff on my phone, and apparently the iPad I had before is a mini and this is a regular, so it's much bigger than either of those. Makes it easier to play hidden object games and stuff.

Happy Birthday!

I'm also not very popular in that forum. I keep going back there to see the funny ways that the L&D regulars respond to me.

I was in serious need of a haircut this week and all the barber shops and salons are closed. I put matters into my own hands and gave myself a haircut cutting my desired amount around my entire fringe line. I accidentally gave myself a Mick Avory haircut. I'm thrilled with the way I look.

I did the same thing a week or two ago.

I guess cuz it's curly hair people (nurses and siblings) thought i had broken the rules of social distancing and gone for a haircut.

Probably somewhere on the list of "Ten Worst Things to Wake Up To" is the sound of the dog throwing up.

And an optimistic kind of inclination at that.

Oh, and we don't fret over toilet papers. People here have something else for that.
