Grace, I can't see your pictures. Sorry!

It was very hot and dry today. The wind felt as if it were coming from an oven.

Tomorrow's forecast is a high of 97. 8O

That's one of the differences between Shia and Sunni beliefs I realize...

bcuz Shias refuse to accept that Prophet Muhammad had any sins or bad deeds (even though all other prophets had slipups too)...

There is a whole chapter in Quran where God literally admonishes him for ignoring a blind man who was asking about God, in favour of a powerful Quraish leader...

Shias refuse to believe that that ever happened and think to say he sinned is a sin

but the whole point of being a messenger is that you are human too and need to ask for forgiveness just like anyone else. Messing up and recognizing it ... is part of the journey.

Otherwise why not just send actual angels.

In fact that chapter is a great lesson in humility and explains the wisdom in not being a snob.

Pretty interesting to know. Kind of like how in the Christian bible many of the people chosen by God did terrible things too. Like Abraham for example. His wife Sarah was strongly implied to be his own sister and he was cheating on her with an Egyptian slave girl whom Sarah abused out of jealousy.

But I actually got that quote from the character Margaery Tyrell from Game of Thrones.

The chapter is titled Abasa which means

'He frowned'...

https://www.al-islam.org/enlightening-c ... chapter-80

https://quran.com/80

When i was little and first learned it .
I cried and cried to think of a blind person being frowned at, and turned away from, by someone he admired , not even knowing it since he couldn't see. That one makes me cry a lot. The man was also very poor.

The story of Jericho where every man, woman, child, and animal was put to death always made me angry and sad. I mean, why kill children and animals? What could they possibly have done to deserve it?

Sorry I'm not trying to be offensive and I apologize if I am. It's just that story is one that always bothered me the most. :(

I'm not familiar with it but I'm guessing it's a natural disaster type thing?
Well everyone who died who wasn't a wretched evil oppressive whatever, will go to heaven as a martyr. That's how we view it anyway

Ah, yes a cup of brown instant coffee as a sleep aid. It may or may not as bad as having alcohol for a sleep aid.

.. Speaking of coffee, it's becoming my drink every after meal recently. :| Not specifically brown coffee, but, well, assorted blends and mixtures (either brewed, instant, or what) depending which I felt like drinking.

Yesterday WikiHow had an article on how to have an indoor Easter Egg hunt on Facebook, and eat least one person thought that was really weird. I told them in Canada most egg hunts are held indoors and there are plenty of places to hide them. Just don't try to hide anything chocolate in an oven because someone might preheat it to cook a meal before looking into the oven first.

Depending on the date Easter is on, it's not usually warm enough up here to hide eggs outdoors. Although today nearly all the snow is gone and the temperature is actually in the double digits. :)

I find it interesting that my body is very reluctant to run a fever (which often leads to me not being taken seriously when I have health concerns that people would expect to come with a fever), but my brother's body seems to be over-dramatic in that department. I wonder what causes that difference.

I find it fascinating that I could be too old for something now, when I was too young for so many years. I guess the blessings of age is not giving weight to "shoulds" anymore. Wish I truly realized it sooner. :chin:
