How do you tell the difference between undie boxers and pajama boxers?

Is this a joke?

Apparently you think about boxers more than I do.

No, I honestly don't know. My men wear boxer briefs and pants that cover their ass. I have no idea.

As a general rule, if there's merely a slit with a button for him to take a piss, it's underwear.

Not really, there's a slit in jeans, with a zip or buttons.

Yes really. The PJs don't have slits. At least, not that I've seen.

I have pj's with a slit. But I would wear underwear underneath them, they're so comfy. Girls have a slit, does that make them underwear?

The slits are sewn shut on girl's PJ pants and shorts.

We're talking about underwear versus PJ shorts. Do try to stay on topic.

Excellent! This is fun. Now where were we again? Oh yeah, here most mens PJ's have a slit in the trouser, traditionally anyway, more modern times have seen funky t-shirt and short sets and the shorts are slitless for sure.

Padlocks have slits, cocks have slits if you know your human anatomy.
Now there's keyholes & there's meatus.
It could be said there's a slit in the (front) tail (look up the Latin of tail)! !!

LOL I can understand that. I wear Y-fronts but strangely (for the toilet) will pull them down as you would briefs, the function of the front opening is something I don't think I've ever used, so you could say like why buy them then, dunno, they're what I grew up in and I see no reason to change, certainly I don't feel dictated by 'fashion'.
