I bet your going to say that your local football team has worn six European Cup!

No, but my local football team is currently in one of the best spells in its history, including this and this. On the other hand...

P.S. Sorry if I gave you Brynjar Gunnarsson-related nightmares

Do you remember your home game in the 6th round of the FA last year?
Re the first game, that was the first and last time Reading played in Premier League now

Actually, it was the second time.

We didn't play at home in the 6th round of the FA Cup last year, we played Man City away.

They've got to deal with the BBFC first, though, and if the film contains lengthy, irremovable periods of real (especially sexual) torture and pain, they're not likely to want to pass it at all.

The BBFC passed Cannibal Holocaust, perhaps the biggest bogeyman of the Video Nasties era, with 14 seconds of cuts recently. They're about to look at House on the Edge of the Park shortly, although I doubt that will get through without a few minutes of cuts at least. Nothing like the near-12 minutes of last time, but I very much doubt it'll be uncut, primarily due to the Cindy scene.

You played Aston Villa back in March 2010 in the 6th round at home and lost 4-2.
You played city in 2010-2011 season where your youtube clip was about 2009-2010 season!

Edit: my mistake. Reading won the Championship back in the 2005/2006 season, that qualified you to play in the Premier League the next season after that, the 2006/2007 football season. In that season you came 8th in the league and Liverpool came 3rd.
In the 2007/2008 season Reading were regarded from the Premier League, you came 18th and we Liverpool came 4th!

Ah yes the English pre-occupation with soccer/football

Watch grown men weep when England fail with their team of over paid and over rated players.

Or go around dick wagging each other about their local teams in a totally homoerotic fashion.

Thought i'd show this clip of Boris Johnson's 'rugby' tackle during a charity football game against the Germans.
Tory MP Boris... is the Mayor of London. Go on Bozza! Makes you proud.

I wouldn't want to live in England. It's too rainy over there.

 I always thought that England was fairly sunny! But then I live quite close to the wettest place in the UK (Crib Goch in Wales).

I could give you nnnnnnineteen great bands hailing from the bleakly romantic rainy city of Manchester, but I can't be arsed.
I'll raise you these brave soldiers of song, in a rock 'n' roll bloodbath down the East Lancs Road.
The Smiths
Joy Division
New Order
The Stone Roses
Happy Mondays
The Bee Gees
The Hollies
Oasis
and Davy Jones (out of The Monkees).

Am I the only one who sees the irony in the OP talking about how intelligent England seems and everyone is telling them that it's fine, there are a lot of stupid people here??

..There are, by the way. Seven and a half years in public service on the frontline, you meet them. I often used to look at some of the people who came into my library (T_T before it got closed by the cuts) and be thankful that I was autistic instead of chav.

THAT SAID...

English vernacular is different from American - I think we're a lot more cynical and satirical and we find humour in anything and everything, which often folk from other countries find offensive because they don't realise it's just English humour and we don't mean anything particular by it...(this is true for the rest of the UK as well, btw, I don't want to leave them out of the humour ring and I've encountered some very wry scots xD)

We're also less direct linguistically than in America, so I suppose we put more words together in those sentences, too. I can't think of an example off the top of my head, but other folk maybe can...

The reason I wouldn't want to go to England because it seems they have it out to ban any controversial film.

Aother film banned from being seen in the UK is Keith Allen's documentary "Unlawful Killing" about the death of Princess Diana, which is a bit stupid because all that does is add to the conspiracy.
