Well, dial-up is slow. I still haven't gotten to getting a DSL or cable modem yet. Aside from moving about in my chair quite often, I sort of find myself continuously pressing the mouse button and opening and closing windows on my computer, while waiting for pages to load up. I don't know. The constant flickering of windows at a quick pace is sort of soothing, or should I say, mesmerizing.

Scratching my head, twitching my calf muscles, wiggling my toes, and humming the same song I've been humming for three days...

I must look pretty weird. Glad I'm the only one in the room.

Rockimg, Sucking my thumb, smelling my arm and playing with a ball are the ones I do when I am sat at the computer.

I have a special England squishy ball that has different textures on it so that is nice.

I never, ever realised there was anything unusual about this kind of thing. What an eye-opener this has been! Yeah, ok, at a certain age I figured out you don't spin on office chairs in polite company.
I used to really enjoy putting my hands together, palms apart, and rolling the balls of my fingers together which gives the illusion of a sheet of glass between them - like Mr. Burns "Exxxcelllent....". That's not something you can do while typing though.

I'm another habitual leg "bouncer." I've noticed that if I get real interested in something, sometimes I stop, but then sometimes I start doing it real furiously.

Sometimes instead I "snap" my big toes against the second ones, or shake a foot.

I recently bought a steel ring off eBay with a spinning band around the middle with stars on it. Now I can spin it at work. Whee.

When I was very young, and my brain was too busy to let me fall asleep, I would turn my head left and right while lying on my back (shake my head "no") a hundred times (I would count). This seemed to help. I stopped doing this at age 6 or 7. I rarely have problems sleeping now.

Until I needed both hands to type this post I was tapping out a furious beat to a song on the radio, using the floor as my kick drum and my left knee as a snare. By the way, I'm not a drummer; that involves some concept of time.

I've read some of the replies here about people who like to spin in their chairs. I've never done that, at least not furiously. When I was a young kid, however, I used to stand up and spin in circles until I got extremely dizzy. And then I'd have trouble walking properly to wherever I was going. I liked the feeling of motion for some reason. Nowadays, I just go crazy to music when feeling the need to release energy like this.
