I know I achieved something today, I just can't remember what it is. I even remember thinking to myself "Ah ha! This is something I can post in the achievements thread tonight!" But I can't remember what it was.

I brought my kitty home from the vet
I went to hospital for a chest CT
I saw my friend and finally cried
I began to process the emotions
I slept
I cooked a rice and shrimp stir fry

Congratulations! I am trying to translate: The exploded house (the housing explosion?) special living spaces in Sao Paulo. Am I close?

As for me, I have completed all the required documents and contacts with due dates by tomorrow. I am done a day early! I am not sure I have ever finished ahead of time before.

Today I went inside a Walmart for the first time in four years. It's been a pretty big fear of mine for a while now, because the last time I was in one I had a really, really bad shutdown. The worst I've ever had to date. I've been afraid that going back to one would result in the same reaction. Going in, it was pretty bad for a while. There was so much visual stimulation that my vision started blurring and I slid into pre-shutdown mode almost immediately. Couldn't focus my eyes on anything, couldn't reciprocate conversation. But I seemed to adapt after a few minutes, and it was a very short shopping trip. Overall, it was okay and a very interesting experience, if nothing else. For me, it's pretty rare for sensory overload to de-escalate the way it did. I haven't figured out what I did right this time, but I'm hopeful that I will eventually and can use it in the future to avoid shutdowns.

It's a great book and I love the fact that the author Harper Lee was actually born and raised in the south too.

I can relate to Scout and her family in a lot of ways except for the fact that her family had money and mine didn't. My family was more like the Ewells (basically poor white trash) but luckily my mama didn't turn out like the rest of her family and neither did her kids.
