There are four faces of Emily that you need to know about Sam. The first, is the one you've seen every day. The second, is what I like to refer to as "Sad Emily", where she cries and is depressed. That 'face' I can deal with. The next face, Sam is 'happy Emily' She'll jump up and down and bounce off the walls. I can deal with this one too. The last face, however is one that you must watch. I call this 'evil Emily' She becomes unruly and will begin throwing her toys and start flipping over furniture. I combat this by holding her close to me, while she is screaming "let me go!" I tell her to calm down, and she usually kicks and screams, but only for a few minutes, then she stops.

I've got my afternoon tea, I've got my laptop. It doesn't get any better, than this. :)

Then Almitra spoke, saying, "We would ask now of Death."
And he said:

You would know the secret of death.

But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?

The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day
cannot unveil the mystery of light.

If you would indeed behold the spirit of death,
open your heart wide unto the body of life.

For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.

In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;
And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.

Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.

Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd
when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honor.

Is the sheered not joyful beneath his trembling,
that he shall wear the mark of the king?
Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?

And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides,
that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.

And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.

And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.

...

from Gibran’s The Prophet

It's 2:05 I must get back to sleep. I might have to bring my diskman into bed, with me. I need The Kinks to help me get to sleep. I'll put one of my longer CDs, into that little machine. I'm dealing with the crap, that I dealt with, at the factory, with those sleazy girls, but there are three decent people to one sleaze, in my group of friends.

My supervisor has put me down for litter, on a Tuesday, again. I'm just going to go to my volunteer job, afterwards and really tire myself out. I might even join baseball practice, as well. Make myself really tired, so I won't have any nightmares, tonight.

I have just had my hair done in lots of plats so it's got a crimped effect in the morning when I untie them.
We don't have any bobbles or elastic bands so my mum had to tear strips off my sister's old pyjama top and use them as make-shift ribbons.

I can never forgive my species for driving the mastodons and mammoths to extinction. Never.
