I should be more "grateful" than I actually am.

When I was in first grade, there was at least one nonverbal kid in my special-needs class (there was no "inclusion" in 1967). There were probably a few more---but I wasn't aware of more than a few kids in the class.

I do remember one kid having the Mumps in class. I remember his face was all swelled up.

I'm grateful for my family and friends.

I'm grateful that all of my beautiful pets existed. They are gone now, but I was grateful for the love they gave me.

I am grateful for any small steps toward normalcy and independence that I make. I have to celebrate them as I make them, because I likely won't improve much more at my age.

because 1] i took it before age 60, 2]i took it without having worked the full 30 years, and 3] they also deducted 2 years from my total years of service countable for pension bennies because i was in a "temp" status which doesn't qualify for pension coverage.

Sorry about that.

I hope it gives you a better standard of living.

Think positively: You got a pension before you turned 60 and even without working the full 30 years, even though you were a temp for two years!! WOOT!! !
