I don't get why some places seem to have moved on from Covid in terms of rules. We still wear masks here and never stopped. When I was at the dentist last week they were in Hazmat suits and spent 15 minutes taping plastic over all the computers and tools.

I do not 'get' why some people seem to want to take offense, going so far as to assume hostile intent directed at them, personally, when no such intent exists.  How can people live such sad, sad lives looking for reasons to claim victimhood?

I think the second part explains the first part - Covid hasn't moved on.
Unfortunately it's no longer newsworthy, but should be.

My uncle never got vaccinated but was finally allowed to go abroad to the Philippines. It seems that nobody cares about the virus or vaccinations any more. I even heard that most workplaces here recommend people don't isolate when they have covid, and should only stay off if you're too unwell to come into work. Also nobody wears masks any more and in most stores the glass screens have been taken down.

I just had covid, after my 4 vaccinations over the last year. It was NOT mild.

Covid hasn't moved on.

This is exactly my point.

I don't get why when I feel really happy I tend to really enjoy music that is very angst ridden, bitter, & angry

It seems like most everyone these days is claiming victrimhood. It seems like the few who do not claim victimhood get blamed for everything that is not their fault. It's blame others or get blamed. I'm one of the rare equal opportunity offenders. I blame everyone including myself

I do not 'get' it when people rage-quit an employer, a group, or organization simply because they see hatred and hostile intent behind every claim and statement that does not precisely line up with their allegedly 'superior' subjective world view.

Then again, once they quit, there is little (if any) chance of hearing and dealing with their hate-filled and hostile rhetoric uttered with their every breath.

Why did the apartment landlord just decided to build a small chapel, where people do live bands few times a week and mostly during nighttime?

Sure, it's his land.
Sure, it's his money.

But why at night? When everyone's going to sleep?
Not 6-8pm. But like going 10pm to midnight.

Sure, karaokes at night are mostly banned.
But this..? Why not this as well?

It's been few years now since it was built.

And...
I don't get it.

Why we hadn't be kicked out or at least got threatened because the damn dog lives in this house??
Best I got was several convos from neighbors and the landlord's in law.

Because the damn dog stinks the compound. Literally. The living room stinks. This is why I don't stay downstairs for too long.

I don't fricking still get why my mom insists to get a damn dog when both me and my sister disagreed.

Who is renting houses at £2000, £3000, £4000 per month??? If you could afford that much money every month why wouldn't you buy a house and be paying off a mortgage instead of giving it to a landlord?

^ If it's anything like where I live, the houses are selling hours after they come on the market.
Demand can't keep up with supply.
People are trapped.
