I realize I'm starting to give in to the opinion that most people on WP are only mildly autistic or not autistic.

Going to the library.

Cis people and their creepy obsession with debating the existence of trans people is so annoying. What a useless distraction that takes attention away from discussing actual issues.

I don't like anxiety.

Modifying my ultralight tarp so it can be erected almost instantly, pulled out of the stuff sack with ridge line, guy ropes and knots already in place. Weighing (literally and figuratively) gear to decide what should be left behind. Minimalism is the goal. Talked to the shuttle provider, water levels are good enough to start in the upper stretches where there are fewer people. A short shake down trip to test gear for the expedition this summer. It's starting to come together.

Watched a spider ensnare and eat a big beetle the other day. I felt a little bad because I was the reason the beetle got caught in the spider's web. I stood up and it startled the beetle so it flew all about. But at least the spider got a proper feast out of that thing.
