The lone rare hare has taken up permanent residence around the house, which is pretty cool. 'That's a strange looking Joey,' thought I, without glasses on. I dunno why I don't wear my glasses. I guess because one of the rare people I looked up to told me something like, 'You'll get too used to them, so if you lose or break them when you need your sight, you won't be as adapted.' Made sense to me at the time and still does (I've noticed it). If I drove, of course.

I guess the bites were from an ant, so maybe stings is a better term. I see cell death at the center of the stings. Spider bites tend to be a little more extreme by now. Not a bother, rather I have a book where I note the various effects from bites or stings, because Autism or something. Jack Jumper maybe, but no positive identification, so unnamed.

High winds are back. Wonder if power will go out again, albeit they were quick with a fix last time.

Fire ants here. Death by a thousand stings, actually just 100 or so. You get used to watching for them.

Leaving early tomorrow morning for a river trip. Connectivity likely to be spotty at best. Back in a week.

18 years of strength training, and I still can't get used to the upper body burn.

I've been doing 100 pushups every morning since I was 18, funnily enough. That's the only dedicated strength training I've done, outside of what was ever required of me for whatever. Which probably isn't much in reality, but I'm strong enough for what I need to do, needed to do. I dislike running, likely due to injury, albeit I put up with it when I have to, had to.

I'll likely go "hiking" tomorrow, as I need to see if any other trees have fallen over throughout the land. Usually after heavy winds, I run into a few surprises, sometimes new bridges.

Addendum to ant stings:

Ended up with serum sickness 9 days later. The Zyprexa is keeping much of it at bay due to being a powerful antihistamine. That's a first from an insect. Self-diagnosed, but it's obvious. Rash, fever with sweating, and aches. Rash comes back when the drug is wearing off.

I know what it is because antivenom did similar.
