I recently started using an YouTube adblocker extension for Firefox because YouTube started playing at least one ad before every single video, even if it's just a three minute music vid. Then when the vid ends YouTube plays at least one more ad before auto playing the next 3 minute music vid. If I'm listening to a whole album that was put up as one 30 minute vid, YouTube plays at least one ad in the middle of it. Their ads are usually advertising membership for YouTube premium so you can suposeidly go ad free. I bet lots of uploaders are losing views these days because people quit watching YouTube due to the numerious ads & plenty of people are majorly finachially struggling right now & can not afford to go ad free.
My girlfriend bought a Paramount Plus membership because they claimed to be ad free but after a bit they started showing one ad on the paid memberships before playing shows that's for other Paramount Plus shows. I suspect they'll start playing more ads like that on their paid ad free memerships soon. I bet YouTube already does $hit like this for their ad free memberships. Showing ads for other shows before playing shows is NOT ad free like they claim those paid memberships are. Companies need to get in trouble for intentionally lying to mislead consumers into buying.

Thank you for the info. How can I use this adblocker? I have no respect for organizations that use deception. That represents the organization's attitude. They cannot be trusted. YouTube should be prosecuted for deceiving people with that "Ad-free" membership with ads.

I never see any ads anywhere, including YouTube. I use the Firefox web browser with the add-on Adblocker Plus, which is free. I've used it for many years. Can't imagine using the internet without an ad blocker.

Thank you for the info. Sounds fantastic! I'll try that. I'll first need to switch to Firefox.

My fridge is ready to be replenished. All that will be left after I have my tea tonight will be a pint of milk and a cob of cheese.

It again feels quite a bit cooler than 10 C. :? Maybe I'm just getting old. I have socks on after all. God help me, slippers are next aren't they? Maybe I have anemia.

Still can't smell anything, but that's more of a funny curiosity than anything else. I couldn't smell that well anyway.

I'm not sure if YouTube Premium has any ads but it really would not surprise me if they do or would start soon. Adblocker+ used to work a lot better for me than it currently does. Lots of sites & advertisers recently found ways around it including YouTube. I recently reset all the settings & uninstalled & reinstalled it but it still won't block lots of ads compared to how it used to. I tried other adblockers & after I enabled enough setings & filters to block most ads, Firefox would load very slowly & lots of sites would not really work. For now I'll stick with Adblocker+ & endure lots of ads on lots of sites. I recently installed a separate extension for FireFox to specially block YouTube ads called something like Adblocker For YouTube & that currently blocks YouTube ads for me. I tried a couple other extensions out 1st & the 1s that did block ads on YouTube also prevented YouTube from working right & included stopping vids for auto-playing. It's probably just a matter of time before Adblocker For YouTube quits working for me & then I'll search for something else.

Today my mother told me all about how she really hurt her toe the day before and was pretty descriptive about the bruising and discoloration, and I cringed and winced almost as if I could feel it myself. Is that like, empathy? Which we're *not* supposed to feel?

lostonearth35, yeah, that one is a type of empathy. The supposed lack of empathy and autism was one of those really terrible observations based on the inability to read nonverbal cues and/or being unable to show it at the time in an outward manner in those with such. They apparently forgot to ask said people how they felt at the time and later on when less distracted in a manner which allowed them to express themselves. Those with comorbid alexithymia will have more trouble with it, but that'll be the same whether those with such have autism or not. Autism on its own doesn't seem to cause a lack of empathy anyway.

I probably have too much empathy, even if I can't always show it (which will be my random). :|

I think some of the issue is that us Aspies tend to be more logical about things & not very affectionate with people we don't know well. We're more likely to try & help others solve their problems instad of giving them a hug to make em feel better. The latter could be seen as more empathic.

nick007, yeah. That'd probably be evident in social interactions and would give others a view that there's a lack of empathy, but using thoughts rather than feelings to help in response to feelings is still empathy all the same.

I'm really dumb. Like, dumb as dumb can get. A rock will have it over me in a game of chess. The reason why it felt so cold last night was simply due to the fact I had my window open a little without realizing it. :| Open just enough so you can't feel the incoming cold air in the form of a breeze, but it's still incoming. How...not embarrassing, because that makes perfect sense for me. About the same temperature tonight, but it's not bad at all. Oh, I guess I can rule out anemia now (cognitive impairment, not so much).
