I don't get how this doesn't happen to everyone, because yeah me too.

I still haven't figured out how to have a "this basket is clean" vs "this basket isn't" in the laundry room.

It all looks the same to me and I'm not in the habit of smelling things unnecessarily.

I have a basket for clean , it’s a different shape and color from the dirty basket.It has handles so I can carry the clean to my bedroom.
Briefly worn clothes go on the chairdrobe.
I will sniff them before rewearing.

I’ve seen homes where there are clothes piles everywhere.Living room, kitchen, hallway.Heaps of them.I would expect that in bedroom or bathrooms where people change.
But why the kitchen?Makes me uncomfortable to eat there.Why are they disrobing in the kitchen?What are they doing?Have they sanitized the counter tops??Nothing good can come of that.Especially not it you want to fry bacon.

I have these plastic storage things that my clothes are supposed to go in, but I'm usually too depressed to put them away (idk why my brain thinks that's the limit for me doing laundry, but it does lol) so I just fold them and put them in a pile. I also wear shirts and pants a couple times before I consider them "dirty", so I'll fold them a different way so I can tell which is which. Dirty clothes I don't fold. Though when it all eventually ends up mixed and unfolded is when I have to play a guessing game about what is clean and isn't. lmao
