I screwed up at work again. Sometimes I worry they'll figure out how stupid and incompetent I am. I feel like I'm not good enough to be there. I feel like an impostor.

I fell asleep with my cooked quinoa left on the bench for 6 hours. Now I'm wondering if I should throw it away.

The wind blew my $50 note out of my pocket at the train station and it landed on the tracks. I got it back eventually but I missed my train and had to stand on the windy platform all that time.

To make it worse it seems the next service has been canceled and I'll have to wait for further 15 minutes.

Peeling ~40 chestnuts took me 2 hours. It's meant to take only 30 minutes. Why am I so slow?

Today I saw a sign near a local Subway restaurant that said WE LOVE SCREAMING KIDS!

Let me explain.

A couple weeks ago someone at a different restaurant brought their kids -not babies, but kids who should know it's not appropriate to act like brats- who were yelling screaming, and behaving like little terrorists. They were spoiling the other customers' enjoyment, and so the owner of the restaurant ordered the family to leave. My mother said this was all over Facebook and went viral on video but I'd never seen or heard anything about it. Apparently the majority of people agreed kicking them out was the right thing, but Subway disagrees. That made me furious. My mom and I eat out once a week and when it's so loud and noisy we can't have a decent conversation is bad enough, but kids acting like that is really intolerable. So I went into Subway, where I saw a little girl with her parents. I wanted to say something like "Scream your head off, kid, they 'love' it here." But instead I wrote a note about how I have Asperger's and that things like kids screeching spoils one of the few social outings I actually enjoy, but obviously they only care about kids who act like brats and not some adult with a disability.

I left it on the counter and left. But I doubt they even read the note. Probably just tossed it in the trash without even looking at those squiggly lined things known as words, because that would require actual intelligence. :(

I'm in the process of adopting a (second) dog. We got an email on April 15th saying that we were approved, and that we'd get a call to start meeting potential matches. On the 29th, I sent a follow up email, because I hadn't heard anything back either by email or phone (two weeks later). They got back to me on Thursday (30th) to say that I'd be getting a call this weekend.

No call :(
