Do you get the nail gun sound with a small electric shock?
Thats a winner.
My tinnitus is like a tin can full of radioactive mosquitoes on helium mating with soprano bumble bees singing opera, with the occasional wah-wah sound of a distortion pedal and / or Charlie Brown adult, intermittent fax machine sounds for five or ten minutes at a time, and interspersed with hearing my own heartbeat and whooshing noises. With the plugged ears I get the sound of footsteps in snow, or someone scraping their snow shovel on the driveway, plus an oratorio of Snap Crackle Pop Rice Krispie sounds, minus the Rice Krispies. If I open my mouth without breathing it's the sound of a haunted house door shutting, because I can imagine that. I like that one. Touching the back of my head is like a nerf ball hitting a mesh net, if such a sound exists. The sound has a twist to it somehow. If I plug my nose and blow I hear the eustachian doors slam shut with a thump and then I go underwater like the Titan voyager, but I've yet to fully implode or float to surface. The thump is like hitting a pillow with a rolled up poster.
If I use the handset from my landline phone on one ear, the other person's voice will make my opposite-side ear pop in unison with their syllables. As soon as they stop talking my ear shuts again.
Electric shocks:
On Buspirone anxiety meds it was like a bug zapper sound or someone being electrocuted.
Zzzzt ... Zzzzt .... Zzzzt .... but my psych told me I didn't hear that so I guess I was wrong.
