Yum! How did it turn out? I love anything lemony, particularly sweets. Maybe you can post the recipe?

I'm having "coffee" and about to have breakfast (a steak, pineapple, blue vein cheese and some cheap ice cream).

It turned out great. Thanks for asking. It is actually a cake I have made, several times. It is one of my favorites and I have made it on a few occasions for some of my family member's birthdays. The cake part is a recipe from my grandmother, who got me hooked on baking when I was 6 y/o. I created the icings. I love experimenting and coming up with different icings. I enjoy sharing recipes and will absolutely post it for you/ for all to enjoy. : )

Since yours is the third request I have received for a recipe, I am thinking that, perhaps it would be fun to start a recipe thread, for all to post favorite recipes. I haven't initiated a thread, as of yet, so, why not, although, I should probably have a look around, to see if there is one that already exists.

I hope you enjoyed your breakfast! It sounds like an interesting combination...

Listening to my high school football game. I hate football. I have no idea what the announcer's talking about. I just want to hear my boyfriend's name.

Taking a break from unpacking. Having an iced espresso and a cup of chocolate gelato. Does anyone else like to pour a bit of cream or milk over their ice cream, by chance?

They both sound so good to me right now, I love any kind of iced coffee/espresso beverage. I'm actually having a hot chocolate right now before dinner, which is more like lukewarm chocolate now.

I've never tried pouring cream over my ice cream, but I'd definitely try it on the good stuff.

I love iced coffee drinks, as well! Hot chocolate is good, too. I have actually been making hot chocolate from unsweetened cocoa, hibiscus powder and beet powder, blended together, and I steep a bit of fresh ginger or a ginger teabag in it, for a bit of a twist and, to add some heat. You can add sugar to taste, although, I prefer it unsweetened. The combo of all of those ingredients is super good for your heart!

I have always poured a bit of milk or cream over my ice cream, as weird as that may seem. Although I prefer cream over milk, in most cases, there is something about the way milk freezes onto the ice cream in somewhat of an icy coating of sorts. I love the texture of it and it is very refreshing. You should give it a try when you have the opportunity. : )
