Then how come when I was at school they were always advising children not to walk home alone through the woods or across fields because of vulnerability? Walking the street way home felt much safer.
Because if you need help, there's more chance of people being around to help you or see if something goes wrong. I'm not saying woods are always safer or that everyone should walk in the dark, but I have scopophobia and daylight walking would be hell for me. People always know where I am when I go out at night and they can track me. I have GPS on my dog and also on my phone. I keep my emergency alert open on my phone too.
when my son was still at school they were advised to only walk the lonely routes if they were with someone and not alone
drugs are illegal here so people go to quiet places to take them so they are not seen
i think in london your more likely to get attacked on the streets but here in essex the weirdos go to the quieter places to look for prey
i would much rather be in a busy street than alone in the woods
