Some people think of certain affordable foods as "poverty food", and will treat anyone who eats such food like garbage, even if they actually like it. Apparently I'm a lazy, disgusting poor person for eating Kraft Dinner and hot dogs for supper. But lobster used to be seen as a poverty food, so they can just stick it where the sun don't shine. :P

Nah we have bonfire night in between Halloween and Christmas

They've already started with the fireworks round here last night because it was Diwali as well

There seems to be no end to the celebrations in multicultural England

My bonfire/fireworks night was September 7th. Another on the 27th at a festival.
As for Diwali... How the hell can Melbourne have Diwali without fireworks?

I mean, technically we have Thanksgiving before Christmas but you don't decorate for that. Most people put up Christmas decorations today but some people try to push it earlier every year. Do people do that in other countries?

Well I like to put mine up on the first Saturday of December but my daughter would leave them up a year if she had her way
