Most likely gonna have my first MRI this year (to look for benign tumors from NF2)

Yay… 4 hours in a loud machine with nothing to do… and I’ll have to be completely still…

Yeah I struggle for 30 minutes when I have mine but they always tell me that I'm the best at keeping still that they've ever seen so that's encouraging I suppose

Me neither. My plan for the day before it’s scheduled, is to stay up late at night then sleep for only a couple hours, then it’s guaranteed i’ll take a nap in the MRI (sleeping during them is fine, you just need to be still)

If it's an NHS doctor, they're very stingy with the opiates. My private dentist gave me some green liquid to drink once, so he could remove a couple of back wisdom teeth without traumatising me. He doesn't usually do that but he said the experience would be very nasty without it. So I drank it, and it worked very well. It all seemed to be done in 5 minutes and it was a doddle for me. Wasn't tripping or anything. I asked him what it was but all he'd tell me was that it was "just a relaxant." No such luck when he did my implants, and I hated that experience.

Except technically relaxants meds brought over the counter one point or another for reasons nothing to do with getting more relaxed.



In the dentist?
I always get a local; mostly injections and at some point, a topical.

Or none at all.

Never had I ever feared the dentist.
Well, never had I ever feared the injection.
