I could send Sylkat a weta if she wants one. Shouldn't take me too long to find one in the woodshed.
Just send me your address Sylkat, and the hideous beast will be on its way......
I so wish I could take you up on that offer as well, but sadly it'd be illegal to do so. Exotic pets aren't allowed here. Otherwise I would have loved to receive some of course. I hope Sylkat will post pics of her very own weta and keep us updated.

I used to have a plush seal called Sammy the Seal. I forgot all about it until you mentioned yours, Skilpadde. I like the name of your seals. Very cute.
Thanks. Wow, you had toy seal named Sammy? Talk about coincidence! When I was around 8 or 9 my father and I wrote a fairytale about two seals named Sammy and Nelly. They were hunting herring. I wonder where that fairytale is now. I'm sure I didn't trash it. I hope it will turn up. IIRC it was my father who suggested most of the names.
I also had a polar bear called Isbjørn-Jager-Sel (Polar Bear Hunts Seal) and two bumble bees named Frørøver and Stikke-Stakk-Stukket-av (Seed Robber and Sting-Stung- Run away; the verb stikke can mean both sting and flee).
Names have always been very important to me when naming toys, pets, characters in my stories etc.
