I dreamed about watching a movie about dinosaurs in a mysterious dark, jungle-like place, except that there didn't seem to be a barrier between the screen and the audience. I think I might have had that dream before.

My church had a pot luck lunch after the service, but I missed it because I overslept.

I had a dream about the pot luck lunch earlier this morning. In the dream, everybody had brought desert. There was nothing but desert at the pot luck lunch. Lots of cakes and pies and brownies and ice cream, but no meats or vegetables. So I'm sitting there looking at the food and all the people sitting there eating deserts as the entire meal.

I decide to leave and I go outside. It is really dark -- almost as dark as night. The wind is blowing. The clouds are down to maybe 100 to 200 feet above me and they are moving faster than I've ever seen clouds move. It is clear that a major storm is beginning.

I go back inside and it starts to get really noisy. I go into a hallway and fearing a tornado lay down next to the wall. Everyone else is walking around like nothing is happening. Then the noise goes away and the tornado doesn't hit us. I start to go back outside and the dream ended.

One odd part about the dream is that there was an addition to the church built in the 1970s. In my dream, the church was kind of a hodgepodge of the church before the addition and the church as it is now.

I dreamt my late father visited me, looking about like he did in middle age, he had me help him on his old property, I got on a garden tractor and helped him with some landscaping in the back yard. the old house looked like it had never been lived in.

I dreamt I was in a house with large windows on all sides, and a greenery-enclosed patio out back with a large white table and young adult guests of royalty seated all around, with party food on the table. inside were two more large white tables with some older folk around both. each of these tables had leftover foods on it, most of the remainder taken to the outdoor table with the royalty seated around it. a prince came in, he looked a bit plebian to me, a bit unkempt, with long red pageboy hair and a young face, I greeted him and as he went outside I absent-mindedly followed him only for him to turn around and tell me, "no, wrong court." so I stayed indoors a while and scrounged whatever leftover food I could find, finally scoring a cream cheese and cherry-icinged cake that I was about to eat when I suddenly found myself outside on the street where I saw a red acura sports coupe and a similar white sedan, out of which some young thugs/gangbangers came swaggering out and walked to some other house, and one of them, a little [about 2 feet tall] person resembling the late herve villechaize, dressed in yellow t-shirt and pink slacks, glared at me and set upon me, I tried to fend him off but he kicked me in the shins and walked away. then [as his kick was ineffectual] I walked back into the house, no damage done, and met my late mother  as she was just before she died, she was in pain and I tried ineffectually to comfort her, then I got tired and retreated to a bedroom and fell asleep in the dream, then upon waking was met by my mom again, only now she was as she was as a young woman, dressed in a silken gray evening gown, and she and I danced. I made her hot, so I fanned her with my hands, she perspired and said something about getting overheated in her gown, then I awoke.

I dreamed that I was with my mum and aunt in a canoe padding around a great lake and then into some sort of underground river cave. The water was a beautiful turquoise deep blue colour. I unloaded some of my belongings, but suddenly we had to leave, and I only managed to take a few things with me [my pink fanny pack containing my PSP was one thing that stood out, along with some old favourite stuffy animals], and I barely managed to jump into the canoe before they nearly left without me.

What could this mean? :o

I dreamed last night I encountered a bear cub in a field I was walking in, wondering why it was alone, before the mother typically appeared and chased me through all these winding alleyways and suburban areas next to the field (dream logic must have asserted itself into believing I could outrun a bear!) Managed to lose her, but then things weirded up, as I next encountered what I 'knew' was the bear cub's dad: a white lion. Haha, it was worse trying to outrun that bugger. I think I must subconsciously need zoology lessons.

Unfortunately, most of my dreams are violent and disturbing in nature. It's actually to the point that I MUST drink to stay asleep otherwise my sleeping brain goes into hyperactive, super messed up mode.

Some of my dreams have included physical fights with my mother, sexual trysts with my brother, poisonous crabs attacking me, rabid foxes and cats attacking me, some crazy wrestler biting my fingers off, me watching Robert Plant taking a knife to the chest, all kinds of disturbing content, really.

I dreamed last night that I was in a grassy, hilly place near a castle-type building that had an open drawbridge leading across a dirty moat. Then I suddenly found a dead buffalo, but I didn't realize it was dead until I touched it and saw it's deadened eyes. I ran away into the castle to get away, but then suddenly found myself in a performing stage-place wherein I was expected to sing and dance in front of a huge crowd. I protested that my throat was too sore to do so, but no one listened.

I don't remember what the dream was about, but I remember I was dating this blob... being that looked like Uboa from Yume NIkki. It also had the voice of my uncle, which was.. slightly disturbing? 8O

Then about halfway through the dream Blob-man turned out to be a massive dickwad who worked for Team Flare. It was working on a giant flame cannon in its basement to destroy worlds, and I found the flame cannon and was like "What the hell, dude?"

Then Blob-man summoned a giant checkerboard and attempted to murder me in a giant checkers match to the death.
But then I won, and Blob-man faded into nothingness and melted into a puddle of ink.

Then a voice came on the intercom and said "Congratulations! You won the dream!"

The other night I dreamed I was getting ready to ride an old Chute the Chutes water ride at an amusement park. I wanted the front seat and it was open for me, but something delayed me from getting on. When I was ready, some older ladies from my hometown had seated themselves in the front seat and I had to sit behind them. I was a little upset because I hadn't set down sooner.

I wonder what pot consumption does for dreams?

Have gone through pot smoking phases, and phases in which I never touched it at all for years, and gone back, and I have never noticed any effect either use, or non use had on my dreams.

But pot probably does help you fall asleep in a gentler way then using alcohol as sedative.

i just have these recurring dreams of late that contain 3 elements (in the same dream).

1. i look at a door in my house and realize i never bothered to open it, so i open it and discover about 8 new rooms as i explore further going through that door.

2. there are family members squatting in some of my rooms and they have no plan of when they are going to leave and i am impatient to get back to being alone.

3. i go out somewhere and then forget where i parked my car, and i also forget the number plate so i can not ring police to tell them to look for it. i have no clue even in which suburb i parked my car and i am stranded looking for an alternative way to get home.

every so often I have "lost" dreams, either of important objects or myself being lost.
