#2....you were reserved about such things----though you would have LOVED to have done it.

I’m guessing 3 is a lie.

Some smells I just don’t like. M

You're right. 2 is my lie. I was too reserved and don't forget, I hated ABBA.

1 is true although I needed to be certain there were no yard-monsters (worms) and I was elevated on a comfy pad
3 is true; I love the smell of rubbery things (dolls, rafts, etc).

1. I once ate 5 hot dogs, and felt belly sick one day in the woods at age 13.

2. I went into those woods, and discovered the value of leaves that night.

3. I still remained skeptical about the Beauty of Nature.

You make me laugh, you comedic wolfman you.

1. Perhaps you ate something else (small wolverines, for example)?
but overall I think it is 3. How could you not realize the beauty of nature?

I really had no aesthetic sense of things before that day at age 13. Very discerning, Ms. Isabella!

1. I used to have a bit of a crush on Katherine of Aragon, while watching "The Six Wives of Henry VIII" when I was about nine.

2. I had a crush on Laurie Partridge, even when she got braces.

3. I really wanted to get the "skyrockets" which Bobby Brady experienced when he kissed that girl.

Laurie Partridge was great. I decided she was "11" because that seemed very grown up compared to my age. I wanted to be 11 like her, although she was likely about 18. I had no concept of age.

I'll say 1.

Nope...couldn't stand Laurie Partridge. She reminded me of some of the subtle bully girls who used to bother me at that time. They always smelled bad, too.

Good point. I know those girls. I had to fend for myself in that social hierarchy when I reached her age. As a child, I didn't pay enough attention to Laurie to know she was a bully girl, because she was so much older. I just assumed she was cool because she was "11" (18?).

1. I got ill on every major holiday, because of the smell of food cooking for a whole day (holiday meals)
2. I have far more winter memories than summer memories: almost everything I recall involves cold weather
3. I have been lying in the sun all day to get a tan, but my nose is burned

#2. I sense many of the memories you have were summer memories.

Laurie, I would say, was about 16 when the Partridge Family started. In retrospect, she had a sort of sardonic thing about her.

My earliest memories are all in the summer (on our boats) until I was about five, but for some reason I have far more winter memories overall. Nearly every type of winter weather / smell / sound triggers synesthaesia or an associated memory. I don't know why. Summer all looks and feels the same to me, in terms of triggering memories.

So 2 was true.

3 is my lie. I don't like sunshine (sensory overload), and I'm too fair to lie in the sun even if I enjoyed doing so.

1. I'm really good at operating a sailboat.

2. I enjoy paddle boats very much.

3. I used to wish I could go around the world on a boat like Robin (that teenager who circumnavigated the globe almost alone in the 1960s) did.

1. I don't know how to sail, either. I only operate power boats.

Right again.....a most discerning woman. I sense that you carry a palette with colors, ready to paint at any time.

1. I have a somewhat conservative palate.

2. I carry around a palette full of different colors of watercolors.

3. I've been to palatial residences.

Thank you. I'm very drawn to colour through synaesthesia, a love of nature and my own attention to detail or energy.
I love painting although I'm not terribly well-skilled. I tend to colour a lot (with pencil crayons) and I can shade exceptionally well with pastel or water-colour pencils. I love cool colours such as blue and violet.

1. I'm afraid of the colour orange (bright orange, not pumpkin)
2. I'm stressed out by two shades of turquoise that stir a memory I can't retrieve
3. I get headaches from yellow because it sounds like nails on a chalkboard
