A song for when I die. it is prewritten for when i am 90
it is called "ironing out the wrinkles…"

life was once a tangled mess.
and that was once my mangled guess
like missing pieces, in a game of chess
like only half a pattern for a wedding dress
like saying no, but meaning yes
like wanting more, and getting less ....

but i slowly straightened it out.

life was once a tangled twine.
like saying yours, and meaning mine.
like feeling sick, but saying fine.
like ordering milk, and getting wine.
like seeing a tree, and saying vine.
like being a flea yet praying divine

but i slowly straightened it out.

life is now a lot more clear.
the tangles are unraveling,
and light is almost near.
i know that there’s not many…. further bumps ahead.
so no more do i look, at the future with leaden dread.
after 90 years this tangled thread…
has rotted and dropped me
And tomorrow i’ll be dead.

oh da dee daa da dee doo de dee.

what a strange little lyric to an as yet unformed musical score.
i am not good at lyrics i am afraid.

Even though I really like David Bowie, Johnny Depp is still my favorite celebrity.

Yesterday my mom was in a terrible mood and wasn't behaving like herself at all. She refused to tell me (or my brother, or my dad) what the matter was and kept denying anything was wrong. It made me equal parts frustrated and worried. I'm almost afraid to see what her mood will be like when she comes home from work today.
