Apparently, someone only rang the Dept of Education and threatened to go to the school with a gun. All of the schools around here are in lockdown anyway.

Yeah attention, but not on themselves. More likely they did it for the sake of creating chaos, they get excited when they witness it.

No more news, but I did hear some sirens earlier.

There was once a bank robbery near my area and the school went on a lockdown... while we were still in it. Apparently he went through the campus or something.

That's why the damn things should be illegal.

Anyways, my mum said I need to get up by 9am. I think she's forgetting that I'm on my holidays now. I'm getting up at 11 at the earliest, and there's nothing she can do about it from her office :P

You can blow up a school easy enough with easily to produce homemade explosives [of military grade], well, classrooms with satchel charges, and kill a lot more.

I think the biggest spree killing was by such; a couple of hundred kids were blown apart by commercial explosives (which can be made by anyone with enough intelligence).

Not without drawing quite a bit of suspicion. Look how many of these homemade bombs get found by the police and anti-terrorist organisations before they're even finished being made because suspicious behavour is reported by people.
