What the f*ck am I doing in Azusa?

I don't know. But in google mapping Azusa I discovered that there is a forest next to Los Angeles. Which I didn't know.
It also must be strange to be in a country that seems to have few curvy roads. It's mainly composed of squares.

Actually, the forest was why I was in Azusa - I just have these "epiphany" moments where I look around and really don't understand why I'm eoing what I'm doing - usually it happens when I'm 50 miles out in the middle of the desert though...

Yes, there are tall (10,000ft) right next to LA, in the winter you can go to the beach and go skiing on the same day...

Did you have a good time in the forest?

When I went out to visit my grandmother in Reno, we drove out to Pyramid Lake. The desert can be stunningly beautiful.
We got stuck in the sand though, and had a slight panic, until a man came along and pulled us out...

It was OK, but the trail I wanted to drive on was closed due to flood damage...

You have family in Reno? I've been there a few times, and of course I won't argue with you about the desert - I go out there every chance I get, usually alone...

When was the last time you were here? Are you coming again?

I've only been out there once, back in 87. My grandmother and grandfather emmigrated to the USA in the 50s. My mother had been adopted out, and stayed in Scotland. Both my grandparents are dead now though, so I don't have any family out there now. I didn't like Reno too much, but I did like the desert.

Good luck, but isn't it too hot? Where I usually go the rocks are literally too hot to pick up with your bare hands. Post photos if you take any...

Not terribly fond of Reno myself, do they show the comedy series "Reno 911" over there? It's hilarious.

It's good for winning bar bets though: which city is further west? Reno, Nevada or Los Angeles, California - the answer of course is Reno.

Anyway enough of my special interests, here's a photo I took in my travels today:

Two things: I need a boom stand for my microphone AND I'm having a bout of insomnia again. This just isn't my day. D:

Lame. Insomnia also, and I can't run because of a pulled muscle.

I can't practice bass 'cause I sprained my wrist yesterday. I fear I'll lose my touch because I've already been quite lax about practice. v_v

That stinks. Isn't there a way you can practice with your other hand? That's what i'm scared of, I only ran twice this week. 8O Maybe thinking about it will help for you? I'm just trying to do alternative, no-weightbearing exercises.

Lace-Bane is dead tired from working today, but it's only 9:30pm and he knows he wont be able to sleep if he goes to lay down >_<.

Maybe he'll try playing Dragon Age 2 and fall asleep in his chair

There's nothing really much for me to do now except maybe loose a few lbs. I'm where I'm supposed to be in life. That will be my next goal. Lose a few lbs. Get down to 200 lbs, stay there for a while than try to get down to 165 lbs.
