Picked a Christmas tree out on some land that I own with my family, cut it down with a chainsaw and brought it home. Showed one of my kids how to sand a bookshelf that my Dad made for him and then helped him stain it and I felt good about resisting the strong urge to micromanage his efforts.

I finally finished the trip report for my 8/18 canoe trip. Whew. That's been hanging over my head for three months now.
