I once won £11,000 on an afternoon TV quiz show (The 'You Say We Pay' segment on Richard and Judy). At the time, I really needed the money. I was so poor. My life has improved hugely since then, but I've never forgotten the thrill of getting that cheque. I'd have won more but I got stuck on treehouse. My mind went blank.

It's no longer on-air. It was a Channel 4 chat show with a one minute quiz segment so a viewer could win some money.

The presenters - a husband and wife duo - sat in front of a TV screen with their backs to it. Images came up on-screen and I had to shout out keywords to help them identify what was in the picture. I remember biscuits (cookies), a footballer (Gary Lineker), olive oil, the Eiffel Tower but not much else. A bit like a TV version of pictionary.

Not long after, the show was in serious trouble for irregularities over the running of the quiz segment. I was surprised that the cheque came from the people who owned/managed the premium-rate phone service and not the TV production company. On the day I was chosen, I got the call just after 5.15pm. So anyone calling after that would have wasted their money. Thousands and thousands of callers were misled over the years. That's what caused all the fuss. Though, I have to be honest, I was just happy to win some cash. I think the most ever won on that segment was £13,000.

I came close to leaving WP three times since the fun CockneyRebel who likes The 60s came back. The February and September of 2000 and the end of the April of 2011. I'm glad that I've decided to stay.

I spent five hours with conditioner in my hair yesterday,
and now it's up in six buns, so that I look a bit alienesque.

Hold on, you're saying that you almost left WP in 2000? :?
Or the fun CR came back in 2000?

A truth about me, is that I'm confused.
