Today - SMASHING PUMPKINS - Rotten Apples

An old favorite of mine. ^_^

My mp3 player is not dead so much as crippled and suffering from Alzheimer's, now containing only the first ~1000 songs I put on it. This has provided me with a new game! The 10-song Shuffle: Blast from the Past Edition. What was Kaybee listening to six years ago? Let's find out!

Yann Tiersen - LaValse Des Monstres
Prozzak - Tsunami
Loveless - Entrust
Goo Goo Dolls - So Far Away
Radiohead - Karma Police
Tori Amos - Bells For Her
Aqua - Doctor Jones
aiko - Andromeda
The Cure - All I Want
Smashing Pumpkins - Pug

More great stuff! As I have 20 minutes till my key worker calls, I'm gonna do another shuffle, wow Kaybee, that was quick!

I am a huge fan of Tori Amos, I have over 200 of her songs. I'm okay with Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins and love The Cure, obviously the Aqua thing rather sticks out, same as the Bryan Adams in my last shuffle... but at least we're being honest here! Okay, here's my next ten...

Gentle Tuesday - PRIMAL SCREAM - Sonic Flower Groove
Win Or Lose - SHAM 69 - That's Life
Skullduggery - JAMES - Stutter
Unfinished Melody - AUGUSTUS PABLO - East Of The River Nile
Liquid - PALE SAINTS - In Ribbons
Stay Together For The Kids - BLINK 182 - Greatest Hits
You Lift Me Up - EVERYTHING BUT THE GIRL - Worldwide
Major John - THE WAKE - Sarah Records 48
A Million Miles - LOST PROPHETS - Start Something
I Keep Coming Back - AFGHAN WHIGS - Gentlemen

I'm sorry to say that I only recognize one band or song from that list, and it's Blink 182, of whom I'm no fan.

Another 10-song Shuffle from Kaybee as a 19-year-old:

The Cure - All I Want
Yann Tiersen - Soir de Fete
Aya - Saboten no Uta
Smashing Pumpkins - Jupiter's Lament
aiko - Kumo wa Shiro, Ringo wa Aka
Bush - Greedy Fly
Louis Armstrong - When You're Smiling (The Whole World Smiles With You)
Prozzak - Omobolasire
Mephiskapheles - Bumblebee Tuna
Ella Fitzgerald - It's Only a Paper Moon

Note: I don't have a huge amount of music on my iPod because pretty much everything I listen to is so awesome (okay, old) that they don't sell it in shops, so I have to ask my parents to order them on the internet, every once in a while. I haven't bought any music since August! I won't download music illegally, it's not right.

Supermassive Black Hole - Muse (Black Holes And Revelations)
Run To The Hills - Iron Maiden (Edward The Great: Greatest Hits)
Karate - Tenacious D (Tenacious D)
Can I Play With Madness - Iron Maiden (Edward The Great: Greatest Hits)
Highway To Hell - AC/DC (Iron Man 2)
Black Widow - Mötley Crüe (Red, White & Crüe)
Battery - Metallica (Master of Puppets)
Inward Singing - Tenacious D (Tenacious D)
Drops Of Jupiter - Train (100 Essential Tracks: Rock Hits)
El Dorado - Iron Maiden (The Final Frontier)

I don't like Drops of Jupiter but it came on a rock compilation CD (not as rock as you might think, though). I just stuck it on my iPod to bulk out the list.

The Train really doesn't fit with the rest of the list either.

My newest list. Let's hope this is as good as the last one.

210. John Butler Trio - Used To Get High
211. "Ice Crusher"*
212. Drive-By Truckers - Space City
213. John Butler Trio - Ragged Mile
214. Peter Tosh - Legalize It

215. Cream - Sunshine of Your Love
216. Dimmu Borgir - The Invaluable Darkness
217. Hybrid - Finished Symphony
218. Ryan Adams & The Cardinals - Cold Roses
219. Bruce Hornsby & The Range - The Long Race

* This one comes off a 1996 game for the original Playstation called Jetmoto. Turns out you could pop the game CD into an audio CD player and you could listen to the soundtrack that way. It fit well in my mind for all those trips back in the day going across long bridges like the Tappan Zee or Delaware Memorial...

With around 30% of my music being reggae, of course I was impressed with the Peter Tosh track... and I'm quite fond of Bruce Hornsby & The Range... I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to all those who like this concept and keep it going too...

The Boys Of Summer - THE ATARIS - So Long, Astoria
Asleep At The Trigger - AUTOLUX - Future Perfect
No Fun [Unedited] - SEX PISTOLS - Virgin Boxset
They Are Night Zombies!! They Are Neighbors!! They Have Come Back From The Dead!! Ahhh!! - SUFJAN STEVENS - Come On Feel The Illinoise
Katy Song - RED HOUSE PAINTERS - Retrospective
D'Ye Ken Ted Moult - HALF MAN HALF BISCUIT - Back Again In The DHSS
Simpson's Theme - SONIC YOUTH - Covers
Blitzkrieg Bop - THE RAMONES - Anthology
You've Got My Number - THE UNDERTONES - An Anthology

Foreplay / Longtime - Boston (Boston)
Break in-City (Storm The Gate) - Tenacious D (The Pick of Destiny)
Of Wolf And Man - Metallica (The Black Album)
The Metal - Tenacious D (The Pick of Destiny)
Mississippi Queen - Mountain (100 Essential Tracks: Rock Hits)
Dolly Dagger - Jimi Hendrix (Experience Hendrix: The Best of Jimi Hendrix)
Brown Sugar - The Rolling Stones (Hot Rocks, 1964-1971)
Different World - Iron Maiden (A Matter of Life And Death)
Cryin' - Aerosmith (Big Ones)
Let It Be - The Beatles (1)

Foreplay / Longtime is one of my favourite songs of all time. Very underrated though, and it's better than More Than A Feeling, which is annoyingly the only Boston song the world knows.

Of Wolf And Man is pretty average. Metallica have these overly-long songs, that just don't match up to their best ones at all.
