Dolphins - no species in particular, they are a beauty in themselves :)

And of course butterflies, they are the most influential in my life.

Wolves :)
When I was a kid, one of my "special interests" (though I think that term is silly) was wolves. Animals in general, but mostly wolves.
Anyone know how that three wolf + moon shirt suddenly became a meme? I had tons of those grandma wolf shirts. I thought they were awesome.
I knew everything there was to know about wolves... I've actually forgotten a lot of my knowledge by now haha. This is making me want to read up on wolves and refresh my brain.

My boyfriend's was penguins, which I think is adorable. They're still his favorite animal.
(If anyone's read Look Me In the Eye, you've read about my boyfriend and penguins lol)

Apatosaurus. But live ones are impossible to find nowadays...

As for favorite animal from current times, it would have to be a tie between the German Shepherd and Bactrian Camel. I'm not positive that raising a camel as a pet would actually happen, but I'm more positive for a shepherd; got friendly with a friend's shepherd who pretty much cleared up my slight fear of dogs so I sorta have an experience around dogs.

Wolves are awesome creatures. I like them because I think that I identify with them greatly. They're loyal to their packmates, they're mostly carnivorous and they're savage but also intelligent and majestic at the same time. But above all else I think they're metal (figuratively, not literally). And without wolves we wouldn't have domesticated dogs today. It also helps that every time I go off and do some silly Facebook quiz about animals I always end up with the result as wolf.

Polar bears, and bears in general, are pretty cool too.

meerkat.....

I AM not a social person either. People would always tell me I needed to be more like meerkats and be more social with people but I always found that stupid becuase meerkats are only social with other meerkats and sometimes yellow mongooses and ground squirrels. Meerkats are also quite nasty to other meerkats.

I like cats as pets, they are graceful and elegant with soft fur which can be many different colours. I like the independence of cats, but also they are sociable which isn't much like me. The only thing about me like a cat is that I prefer sleeping in the day, too. But because I'm a human society won't let me.

Horses, though in truth it is difficult to select one as I do love so many animals, including birds of prey, whales and dolphins and wolves.

I like a lot of animals. Elephants are my favorite and have been since I was very small. I also like spotted hyenas, rats, cats, and many other animals (too many to try and list).

We have a small farm so I have room to keep some of my favorite animals. I have several dogs and cats, chickens, goats, ponies, a donkey and a pot-bellied pig. I get so much enjoyment from their company and caring for them is never a chore. They can be expensive to feed so I sell a few homebred ponies each year and we go to birthday parties to give pony rides. My absolute favorite type of animal would have to be a bird, specifically chickens, ducks and parrots. I love to watch birds in the wild when they are flying, foraging or talking to each other. My chickens and ducks are so entertaining! They have such funny little personalities. A raccoon recently killed 10 of my bantam chickens...I am so heartbroken and not sure I will get any more.

Wolves, I love them and how they look. On occasion I find myself wishing I could be like them, but still human too,
because I like to do human exclusive things like reading and writing.

Wolves or Bats.

Bats are the only mammal to have the true ability to fly. The Hoary Bat typically roosts alone and they
are not very social. Giant golden-crowned flying fox bats look cool though.
