I dreamed two nights ago that I was in a mansion in the dead of night, searching for treasure [and I actually found a literal treasure chest...somehow]. But I was sneaking around quietly in the half darkness, in the basement, and the butler [ :o ] started wandering around down there, too, and so I abandoned the chest in the middle of the hallway, which the butler nearly tripped over, and alerted the mansion's owner, who also came down to the basement. Meanwhile, I was hiding in a spare room with a quilted, ordinary looking bed, but then I slipped out of the room, magically moved around in the shadows almost directly in front of the butler and owner puzzling over the treasure chest, around a corner, up the stairs, and out the back door, where I dove [literally] into a bush.
What could all of this mean? 8O

The story is quite straightforward, and quite UNweird for a dream.

You try to steal something valuable from a rich guy. Left the loot in his mansion, but got away with out being caught trespassing.

But why you would have that particular storyline in a dream at this particular moment in your life might mean something.

Or not.

^No, there's definitely much more to it than that. The basement probably represents my subconscious or inner darkness, and the butler is probably representing my inclination to 'servitude' or helping people too much. The fact that it was nighttime and dark indicates that there are hidden parts of myself I need to address or release, and the quilted bed probably has something to do with my security and being comfortable. The fact that I went through the whole dream entirely unnoticed might refer to my habit of becoming 'invisible' [most people don't notice me anyway].

Thats an interesting analysis!

The treasure chest must represent something valuable. But is it something you are in danger of loosing, or something that you're in danger of taking? Or is it something that you're not getting from others around you?

^Maybe I've been trying to please other people so much or going along with what other people think is best for me that I can't quite figure out what I actually need or want the most.

^^^ mebbe, as a kinda science experiment, you could decide, for a week, I [you] will do one extra thing for me, and one less thing for somebody else, then at the end, log your dreams and see if this change is reflected in your dream content. :idea:

My most recent dream was completely animated. {Yes, you read that right! :lol: }

I know many of you are tired of me posting dreams about my GF, but here it is.

I was dreaming I was sitting at the kitchen table in my home eating dinner and texting my GF. My mom was inquisitively reading behind my shoulder even though my sister was trying to get her to stop.

My Mom: Who are you texting?

Me: Just my girlfriend.

My Mom: Whoah! You have a girlfriend?! You can have friends, but not a girlfriend!

Me: Does it matter?

My Mom: Yes it does! You better tell me who this girl is or I will go out looking for her!

{In reality, I do not own a cell phone and my dream was similar to this clip from Despicable Me 2.}

I dreamt I was living in a big barn with my late mother, and there were all these bugs popping up all over the place, and I was armed with this industrial bug sprayer with a big tank and a long wand shooter thingie, and it shot out a laser-intense stream of bug poison. I was shootin' big black bugs left and right as I walked to the back of the barn, when up on a wall shelf I saw this humongous gray elephant bug, only instead of a trunk it had a big flat pancake-like nose, and I took aim at the nose and let fly, only this elephant bug [the size of an elephant, btw] was only mildly irritated.

I never had children, but I did have a terrible dream many years ago where I had a child who had a lot of things wrong. The doctors said he would die within a very short time. It was then I decided I wouldn't ever have children. I didn't want to be responsible for doing a child any harm because of something that could be wrong with me.

I took a nap and had a weird kinda soft night mare where I was scooping dead bugs off of my bed, into a little plastic test tube, then went outside and tried to empty the test tube into a blue plastic bag hanging off of my carport cover, only the bag would not admit them for some reason and the bugs all fell out onto the ground and over me instead. I was most concerned about the dead bees for some reason. then my sister and bro in law dropped by while this was happening, driving an unfamiliar black ford pickup truck. then went inside my place and it was a terrible mess in there, but in the meantime my late mom and dad stopped by in a classic Mercedes like the one he used to drive, and picked me up and took me someplace where we had to cross some kind of tollgate and we drove on this empty freeway, we actually were following somebody but I didn't know who they were. meanwhile I was sitting in the front passenger seat of the car worrying that I had left my keys back at home.

You have very vivid dreams 'blabby!

I hade a dream just last night where I met this girl who was just as weird as me, if not weirder. ^_^ But the school as mad at her, and wanted to expel her! But I stepped up to save her, and after a school-wide conflict she still Unfortunatly got expelled. :( Then I woke up.

Your absolutely welcome! :flower: Thank you, I don't really see myself as noble, but I guess my subconscious thinks otherwise! :o Uh-oh, well that would be embarrassing, having your "toy" be found like that. It reminds me of this girl in high school I knew, her mom found her vibrator! But she managed to convince her mom that it was a prop from some Japanese anime. :lol:
