I'd have to say that both Isabella and Sentient Potato were precocious kids.

I could not even CONCEIVE of such things at such a young age.

I used to think I was smart----but, in reality, I was a kid of average intelligence who knew more facts than most.

I know Isabella uses her creativity quite a bit. She's a special lady.

I wish Sentient Potato were more confident. Because I know Sentient Potato is smart, and a Mr. Fixit Man.

1. I once sculpted two "early men" when I was about 14-15. I thought they were good. My mother wanted to get rid of them, but kept them for about 30 years.

2. I thought I was better than Jackson Pollack at throwing paint on the canvas, and all this "decadence" stuff.

3. I really think Salvador Dali is the Dog's Meow.

I think you are in fact very smart!

When i was about 4 to 5 years of age, i actually had whole monologues about the concept of consciousness and death. Of course, my vocabulary was too limited to have proper philosophical thought processes.

I called consciousness "see it (sehe es)" and death "don't see it(sehe es nicht)" and i thought even then that they are connected, hence the "see it" when consciousness is present and the "don't see it" when it is not (or it has died)

Of course, no one really knew what i was talking about, but i haven't forgotten anything about this.

Sorry for the off-topic. It seems like SentientPotato struck a nerve...

Thanks, Robot....a great compliment coming from a Man of Virtue.

LOL....Nope...didn't have that sort of thought-pattern when I was 4. I didn't know what I was thinking about then. I was speechless (literally). I thought extremely concretely. I thought linearly. I didn't start thinking abstractly like that until maybe about 13-14 years old. When I was 6, say, I thought it would be nice if I were on Romper Room. I wanted to be on TV. When I was 8, I wanted to read the statistics of baseball players. I wanted to go out and play ball. I would try to think of excuses why I was late coming home that day.

Actually, at 6, I was late, and I tried to hide by going out on the fire escape of my apartment building. I was caught, of course, and spanked.

I believe many intelligent children really suffer because they are not understood. Because adults are scared of them. They get freaked out when they express abstract ideas at a young age. It's a cross between jealousy and worry, in my opinion. They are worried that a kid will become immersed, and become stuck in the Abstract, and have difficult coming out into the Concrete.

1. I was rendered "speechless" because of a trauma

2. I started REALLY liking girls when I was 15.

3. I used to be the Cat Man.

No one ever called me that! I am positively overwhelmed by your words. If one hears really nasty things about oneself, it is wonderful to read something that nice for a change. Thank you!

Back to the game: I think #2 might be the lie

Nope....Age 15 was when I REALLY started liking girls. Before then, I liked them okay....

Guess again :)

As much as i want the Cat Man statement to be true, but i would never dare calling such a serious statement as described in #1 a lie! It could be a trap, but i am going to risk it.

#3 is the lie

#1 is the lie. I was speechless......because I had a neurological disorder which prevented me from speaking till age 5. Till this day, I don't know how I managed to "get out of" the autism. My mother might have had something to do with it.

I honestly feel "dumb luck" had something to with it.

Wow! That was a tricky one!
I will try, then, so we will maintain a certain momentum

1. I burnt my right leg on the exhaust pipe of my father's moped
2. I burnt my tongue and my throat with boiling water from the thermos flask
3. I burnt my right hand on a flat iron

#1. For some reason, I can't envision anybody having a moped these days. I find them somewhat useless, and quite slow for most "driving" purposes. Maybe you got burnt by your dad's motorcycle exhaust pipes?

I would guess you are familiar with Zubin Mehta. I saw him once back in 1980.

1. I was thrilled to hear from my best (female) WP friend today

2. I received a shocking email today and it's keeping me awake

3. I seem to have developed a virus (throat, ears and chest) and I'm worried I may be running a low-grade fever.

You're right, Kortie! I didn't receive an email. Yay!

I did hear from my WP friend whom I've been missing, and I woke an hour ago with a very sore throat and ears. Ug.
