My new rifle turned out well. I forgot how quiet standard velocity .22 Long Rifle rounds are from a rifle length barrel. It's no louder than Party Poppers or a cap gun, really. A box of 500 rounds is only about $30 AU.

Still good at bowling over a rabbit out to 100 meters too (not that there's any of those around).
