Annoyed

Lately I've been receiving way too many calls from my health insurance company trying to get me to take part in a visiting nurse's program that offers nothing that my regular doctor does not offer. Today I took a look at the web page describing this service and realized that they were trying to gloss over their ulterior motives with glowing double meanings when what they really wanted to do was to accumulate data on me that they could not obtain otherwise to feed to their bean counters. I will tell them what I think in no uncertain words. As my independent insurance agent also told me, what they really want is to recruit as many customers as possible so as to be given improved ratings by Medicare. It's Facebook "Like Me" mentality regurgitated.

The moral of this story and my byword of the day is: Don't Feed The Bean Counters.
