We had > 30°C for the first time this spring. It felt like summer. Coincidentally, my favorite ice cream bars are on special at Woolworth from today, too. I bought six boxes (24 bars altogether). I'll buy more later.

Thinking of the all-things-purple I searched for on the Internet, over the weekend----and, also the flowered dresses that I really loved.

Got tonight's cleaning done quicker than I thought. Now I just have to get up early in the morning to mop the laundry and kitchen floors

One of my childhood dreams finally came true. Okay, not everything about it, but it was definitively more than I would have expected a few years ago. I thought for a very long time that it would never happen in any variation I dreamed of.
Furthermore I am alone at home this evening.

I was told today that the weekly flea market will be held at what used to be Target at the mall near my home this fall and winter. Hooray, it''ll be much closer and I won't have to walk at least a half-hour downtown in rain or snow or pay for a cab to get there. They were setting up the tables and stuff last week so maybe it'll be open this Sunday. I haven't been to the flea market in ages, so I can't wait to go. But I won't be buying any fleas. :P

There's something else that I think I should have mentioned first. A friend of mine came today and gave me a book she bought at a yard sale all about classic toys like Mr. Potato Head and Troll Dolls and even Cabbage Patch Kids. it's got lots of nice color photos and only cost her around two dollars. So nice!

I watched a video of the National Zoo's lions when they were cubs playing with their mum.

New hearing aids.
(Haven't had aids for about two years.)
I didn't know birds chirped so much in the morning.
I can hear the clock ticking in the kitchen. From my bedroom.
The motor in my fridge hums.
Water splashing sounds amazing.
Clothing swishes when you walk.
My bare feet make a kind of sucking noise when I walk on the floorboards. That's kind of weird.
I'm enjoying hearing all the sounds I haven't heard for two years.
It's like a wonderland.
