I don't think that would help. NYC would make me a little lonely because everyone looks so happy. I'll probably work on my ancestry because I like to look at the various years and dates. That makes the passage of time seem connected to something bigger than myself, so to speak. Thanks though, Blabbs. Happy New Year and I hope we can chat.

I made a hauntingly sad poem.

"The King of the Sky"

Quote:

Blue Skies and Evergreen Trees
A brave eagle spreads its proud wings

A fearless face adorned by a white crown
The King of the Sky is victory-bound

It leaves his nest bathed in blood and tears
The winged king thinks that nothing can be feared

But tragedy is the fate of all mighty kings,
and the flying king will one day lose his throne.

An arrow through the right wing
A bullet through the left wing
As the kingdom of dreams comes crashing down.

And as he weeps, and as he weeps
The other beasts come to him not to mourn

And as they feast, and as they feast
The King of the Sky reigns no more

Woke up. Had a BM. Took my pills & vitamins. Went back to bed and browsed the internet for 2 hours.

This day is certainly demanding.

Me & my girlfriend left this morning to visit her aunt & uncle. Cass spent the night there Friday but nobody told her till she got there that her aunt was in the hospital. By the time Cass found out it was kind of too late to plan to visit her aunt that day so they talked on the phone & her aunt put a lot of pressure on Cass to come visit her while she was in the hospital. Her aunt normally puts lot of pressure on Cass to spend the night at her place every month & she's also putting pressure on Cass to move close by & to be her aunt's caretaker cuz the caretaker her aunt has doesn't do sh!t for her even thou she's getting paid for it. I do aLOT more for Cass as Cass's caretaker & I'm NOT getting paid for it. It's sh!tty how things work out. Anyways we left today to go visit her aunt at the hospital & the buses only run to that town/city a few times a day from here so we had to leave at 7 in the morning which meant we got very little sleep last night since we both stay up real late. We had planned to visit her uncle at home after visiting her aunt & then go eat McDoand's for our breakfast before catching a bus back. Anyways her uncle wanted us to go to McDoand's 1st so we could bring him some food. We agreed but the buses did NOT run rite for that so it took us an hour & a half to get there after we got the food which meant the food was soggy by the time we got to his place & could eat it. It also meant we spent alot more time outside waiting around for buses in the freezing cold. We ended up taking a later bus back to our city because we had to stay later since we got to his place so late. That meant we got to the bus station too late to catch any buses back to our place so we had to walk in the cold.

That sounds pretty stressful, Nick. You certainly do a lot to help others and I hope they appreciate it!
Happy New Year to you and Cass.

It was stressful but not too bad till later in the day. I really should go to bed but at this point I'll wait till after supper & then sleep late tomorrow. I mostly care about helping Cass to be honest. Thanx I hope you have a good year ahead.

My latest poem :study:

"Village of Feathered Fools"

Homey and Comfy
Domestic and Cozy
The motherly hen warms her eggs

On a throne of golden straw
Gently resting her gentle claws

Docile as the feathered queen lays
To her it feels safer this way

"Oh no! I lost my babies!"
"Lay more of them, maybe?"
"If not then the Gods might get very angry"

And what good is a single rooster?
Who crows to those who do not listen?
Even the smallest one has his beak and spurs!

"The Gods have no mercy!"
"Devouring us without pity!"
"No matter if we are feathers or furs!"

Calmly accepting a tormented fate
Being cooked in Hell's eternal fire
In exchange for food and shelter
For the false security that they most desire

Got up at 3:30 A.M., got 3 loads of laundry done and dried, 2 meals eaten, watching the second episode of ‘Gotham ‘, taking a Wrong Planet break.

Took my Dad to church with my family.
Made 9 burritos from dried pinto beans and froze them for my weekday work lunches.
Plowed the snow off the rest of our driveway with the tractor.
Hauled in more wood.
Walked for an hour on the treadmill.
Now I'm going to make brown rice and a tasty veggie stir fry for a late supper.
