think its frogs, see them around much more often then toads

Reminds me of a childhood interest in tadpoles, remember thinking how could they change so much. Is there a technical name for when they start growing legs, or have legs.

I used to have pet frogs. They kept getting out, one time I had them in my room and 1 still got out, months later we found a dead frog under my bed.
