I am curious as to why it would be viewed as immoral? I must admit, I am envious that it doesn't bother you being alone. I wish I could do the same.

I meant to ask, where are you, in terms of feeling the need to leave your safe space?

Are you literally saying that "self-inflicted solitary confinement" is a safe space, or just that you are isolated now?

I am just extremely lonely. Both. I have some friends (just enough to add the S) that contact me when they want a bit of nostalgia, but they have families and a life that no longer really include me, but I don't blame them for that. People get older and change, that's life.

It's tough when friends move on. :( I've had friends like that.

At what point would you feel desperate enough to take a risk to venture back out there?

It's hard to say without context. I don't venture out often.

^In the context of your original post about the topic, the one about not having the tools to find a path of visibility. You had said that maybe you could see a professional but that doing so would mean you'd have to venture out of your safe space.

Never mind. I found an article about it.

I'm not sure I know how to measure that to be honest, I desperately want to. But that would require asking for help face to face, not something I am good at or comes natural. Self worth, I have none. Likely forced Baker acted would be the answer if I am to be perfectly honest.

The Baker Act is a Florida statute involving involuntary commitment so, wow!

Is there any sort of face-to-face contact that you'd feel safe enough for?

Usually with facing a specific fear, either I'm desperate enough to do it, or the rewards of doing it lead me to try. Have you ever had that experience? Have you ever had an experience when you said, I'm going to feel so awful in the long run if I don't do this?

I could make a fan out of celery.
And then eat it.
With balsamic vinegar.
Orgasmic.

That the days are slowly getting longer and longer, and that in a few weeks I will feel the sun warming in my face.
