I generally know when I'm flirting, usually because I'm doing it to get a desired result (they usually think I'm cute). I do this with secretary's, they'll just start handing things to me. Phone numbers for people I ask for, candy bars, t shirts... whatever they have handy. At a place I frequent my origami birds are on all their desks.... and big smiles go up whenever they see me.

I often feel like a sociopath in this regard.

I've been on one date in my life and it was pretty forgettable. It was just with some childhood friend who liked the way I looked on Facebook but didn't think much of me when we got together in person.
